Why we built it
Most resume builders ask you to sign up before they will show you a preview. They watermark your PDF unless you pay. They run analytics on the personal details you enter. They store your data on a server you will never see. And when the company shuts down, your resume goes with it.
Advoke CV was built around the opposite set of assumptions. You do not need an account to use it. The preview is the product. PDFs are yours, without watermarks or limits. Nothing is uploaded to a server, because there is no server. Everything runs in your browser, and everything you write is yours to keep.
The result is a resume builder that is faster, quieter, and more private than the alternatives — not because the alternatives cannot be, but because their business model requires them not to be.

How it works
Advoke CV is a static site. It is served as plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no server-side rendering, no database, no backend. The resume editor runs entirely in your browser. Your data is saved to localStorage, which is a browser feature that stores data on your device. It is not a cookie, and it is not shared across sites.
PDFs are generated by your browser's native print engine, not by a PDF library. This means the PDF is the exact same document the print dialog shows you. Fonts are system fonts — no Google Fonts, no Adobe Fonts, no external network requests. The favicon is a single .webp file used for every icon on the site.
What we do not do
There is no user account, no email capture, no "sign up to download" gate, no paywalled export, and no premium tier. This is not a temporary state of the product — it is a design constraint.
